Overview
With environmental protection becoming a more and more popular issue worldwide, “green” and “renewable” are concepts that now commonly arise when we think about energy sources. Countries around the world are saying goodbye to carbon, and welcoming renewable energy, especially the one source that is conveniently and easily captured: sunlight!
Solar energy is used worldwide and is increasingly popular for generating electricity and heating. Taiwan is a subtropical country in Asia, with an average annual solar irradiation of 2000 kWh/m2, giving the region a great advantage for the collection of energy from sunlight. With new technology innovations, energy can be directly collected from sunlight on both sunny days and even in cloudy weather. However, in order to collect the energy effectively through solar panels, the angle, working time, and duration of transit for the panels must be periodically optimized. Because of these requirements and the wide topographical layout of solar panels, Ethernet switches are playing more prominent roles on solar power sites.
EtherWAN is supporting solar energy applications both overseas and in Taiwan. The company was proud to complete a special solar energy project in the South of Taiwan that will write a new page in the field of renewable solar power.

The EX73900E is EN 50121-4 certified, making it suitable for operation in various applications. With EX73900E support for surge, EFT, and ESD protection (following the IEC 61850-3 standard), it is often selected for projects involving high voltage, such as power plants and solar energy sites.
